I went back out to the Viera Wetlands again today. My older daughter wanted to go since she didn't get to yesterday. We went at about 3:30 pm after I finished working. We saw tons of birds, two otters, and two alligators. For some reason most of our pictures turned out fuzzy, but we got a few good ones. She rode sitting on top of the car's sun roof, as I did yesterday. It's sooo much fun, and I cannot describe just how good it feels to be out there in the wilderness. We were there for a couple of hours and by the time we left I felt so incredibly peaceful. I think I will be spending quite a lot of time out there from now on.

Viera Wetlands

Today we visited the Viera Wetlands...something I've wanted to do for quite some time. I didn't even know it was there until a few months ago. I thought it was new, but apparently its been there for a few years at least. I got some nice pics (wish i had better zoom), and we had a great time. The weather was perfect and breezy....there wasn't much traffic (we saw about 5 other vehicles I think)...and the wildlife was out enjoying the warm respite. A great soul refresher all the way around.

New Camera for Christmas!

I got a new digital camera for christmas...took a pic of a rose from my garden with it. The name of the rose is "Full Sail"...its whiter than in this picture, and smells heavenly. I wish I could upload the smell too. Maybe someday :-). I hope everybody has a Happy New Year!
